Многоплосный компрессор
Представьте себе спектр частот, разделенный на три части – низко-, средне- и высокочастотную и на каждую из них назначен свой собственный классический компрессор, с независимыми параметрами порога сжатия Threshold, степени сжатия Ratio, Attack и Release. Только мы еще можем управлять границами частотных диапазонов этих 3х полос, и к слову говоря их может быть и больше трех. В основе разделения спектра на полосы лежат либо полосовые фильтры, либо кроссоверы. На выходе компрессора, чтобы избежать нежелательного пикования или искажений, как правило может работать простой лимитер.
Ранее мультибенд компрессор применялся только при мастеринге, он собственно поэтому и был придуман (однополосный не тянул правильную обработку всего насыщенного спектра на мастер дорожке; пробивные бочки, насыщенные бас партии вместе с крешами и цимбалами) и буквально захлебывался от информации, поэтому спектр и пришлось делить и ставить независимые компрессоры, настроенные немного по-разному. Сегодня же многополосники применяются где угодно, где они могут дать свою пользу от тонкости подстройки; вокал, драм партии, мастеринг, живые инструменты и т.д.
